After twice saving Fairytopia, Elina has become a bit of a celebrity, and feels confident in her abilities. Then Azura visits the Magic Meadow with a new challenge: come to the Crystal Palace, train to be Azura's Apprentice, and learn the Flight of Spring, the annual ritual that brings to life the First Rainbow of Spring. At the Crystal Palace Elina meets the other apprentices, including a fiery-tempered Sparkle Fairy named Sunburst, and a Wood Nymph named Glee whose Puffball Dizzle, quickly becomes best friends with Bibble.

Things don't go as well as Elina had hoped when she accidentally falls into a trap, by casting a spell on a seemingly innocent toad. The toad is actually Laverna, and the spell releases her from her toad shape and her exile, setting her loose on Fairytopia! Laverna then puts all the Guardian Fairies into a deep sleep. The Enchantress must unite Elina together with the other apprentices, to perform the Flight of Spring in the Guardian's place to avoid sending Fairytopia into 10 years of winter.

But can they overcome their differences and work as one to defeat Laverna and save all of Fairytopia?
